SAP BPO – Treasury & Revenue Accounting required by Whitehall Resources for a 12 Month extendable project assignment for our client in Barcelona, Spain.

Duration: 12 Months
Location: Remote / Barcelona, Spain
Delivery: Onsite in Barcelona every other week from Monday to Thursday; the remaining workdays are remote.
Language: English speaking (Spanish and/or Italian would be an advantage)
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced contractor to support our clients SAP S/4HANA Wave 2 programme as Business Process Owner for Treasury & Revenue Accounting. As they move from deployment into testing and training, this role requires deep functional expertise combined with outstanding communication and teaching skills. The contractor will be the key subject matter expert ensuring our global teams are fully equipped to work within the new processes and system.
Main responsibilities:
– Design, prepare, and deliver end-user training – both in-person classroom sessions and recorded training videos – in close collaboration with the OCM team.
– Actively participate in Functional Integration Testing (FIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring a thorough understanding of end-to-end processes and supporting defect resolution.
– Own the global Treasury & Revenue Accounting process template for S/4HANA, including functional requirements, design decisions, and documentation sign-off.
– Collaborate with local Process Champions to align the global template with localization needs while maintaining standardization across regions.
– Support cut-over activities, hyper-care monitoring, and post-go-live stabilization during the Wave 2 deployment.
– Define and track process KPIs (e.g., DSO, liquidity ratios, aging reports) and drive continuous improvement in Treasury, Cash Management, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control. Qualifications & experience:
– Academic background in Business, Finance, or Accounting; CPA/CA preferred.
– 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in senior or team-leading roles within a global finance organization.
– Proven track record in SAP implementation projects (Greenfield or Brownfield), ideally in an S/4HANA environment.
– Experience delivering end-user training programmes; ability to translate complex system and process topics into clear, accessible learning content.
– Cross-cultural communication skills and experience working in internationally distributed teams.
– Fluent English; Spanish and Italian would be a plus, but are not required.
