Network Engineer – SC Cleared

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Network Engineer based onsite in either Portsmouth, Stevenage or Newport for an initial 4 month contract.

*** MUST HOLD ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE ***

*** INSIDE IR35 ***

Job Spec:

• Resolving level 2 and 3 incidents related to telephony and video conferencing.
• Responding to specific hardware or software requests.
• Contributing to a technical knowledge base.
• Participating in telephony and video conferencing projects.
• Occasionally assisting operations teams.
• Ensuring the operational maintenance (MCO) of the telephony and video conferencing infrastructure.
• Providing knowledge transfer to technicians when necessary.
• Updating technical documentation and procedures.

Key Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Cisco VoIP (CUCM, Unity Connection, Jabber, IP Phones, Cisco SBS, VG2xx…), Webex, and Cisco videoconferencing (endpoints, TMS, Pexip…).
• Knowledge of VMware suite and vSAN storage.
• Familiarity with Kurmi, Telsica, and PeterConnects ecosystems.
• Good understanding of SIP/H323 protocols.
• Knowledge of WAN/LAN networks and security, as well as system administration and PC environments would be a plus.
