Data Solution Architect – SC Cleared

Whitehall Resources currently require an experienced Data Solution to work with a key client.

**Please note this role requires active SC Clearance and Falls INSIDE IR35**

Purpose –
* Designs application products to meet user needs and align with strategy and standards.
* Provides a consistent set of application product architecture views, that communicate and describe the construction of the solution to all stakeholders.
* Solution communication champion, making the complex simple to understand.
* Supporting delivery teams, blending technical (development and architecture) and behaviour (leadership and communication) skills.

Top 3 responsibilities, as stated by end user:
* Support multiple teams, finding and using best practice and emerging technologies.
* Be responsible for governance, solving complex and high-risk issues, or delivering architecture design.
* Ensure that architecture design artefacts are produced to agreed quality standards and timescales and presented effectively at governance forums.

Broader responsibilities, as stated by consutling:
* To design and represent architecture solutions
o Deliver the technical and architecture design elements of projects / initiatives
o Build relationships and work collaboratively with other Digital professionals
o Create solution options and recommendations during project discovery and inception phases, to drive decision making on best solution design
o Make technology choice proposals for Products
o Create high-level solution architecture documentation and architecture design artefacts for governance, including all relevant SME input.
* To ensure compliance of design with approved design in the Digital Blueprint
o Ensure technical quality and adherence of Product designs to the Digital Blueprint, Enterprise Architecture and Product Roadmaps
o Engage with Domain and Lead Solution Architects and engineers to implement solutions according to agreed and approved designs
o Advocate and support delivery of solutions that reduce architecture complexity and reduce technical debt
* To maintain Product roadmaps and help maintain the Digital Blueprint
o Be accountable for product architecture, contribute to product roadmaps, in alignment with engineering
o Identify, capture, iterate and implement architecture patterns
* To contribute to, and build capability in, the Architecture community
o Sharing best practice and reference architectures
o Participate/Support development of the Architecture Community of Practice

Skills –
* Significant Architecture experience
* Government/Public client experience (SC cleared or at least SC eligible)
* Analytics & Reporting: Data warehousing, data lakes, business intelligence (BI) and analytics technologies, design patterns, tools and best practice.
* Translating business requirements into technical solutions with traceability that can be demonstrated to stakeholders.
* Architecture design informed through the use of principles, patterns, technical radars, practices and standards.
* AWS Solution expertise and relevant certification – EMR / Spark (Hadoop) / AWS / Data Modelling-Mapping / GitHub / GitLab
