Whitehall Resources are currently looking for an experienced SAP EWM ABAP Developer to join a leading SAP consultancy.
This role requires a genuinely technical SAP professional with strong hands-on experience developing and enhancing solutions within SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This is not a functional or techno-functional EWM role – we are looking for someone with a strong ABAP development background and proven experience specifically within EWM environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance and support SAP EWM solutions using ABAP.
- Deliver custom development, enhancements and technical solutions within SAP EWM.
- Work closely with functional EWM consultants and Solution Architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and support EWM RF functionality and warehouse processes.
- Work with EWM enhancements, BAdIs, user exits and other SAP enhancement frameworks.
- Support integrations between SAP EWM and other SAP modules and external systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across EWM applications.
- Participate in technical design, development, testing, deployment and post-go-live support.
- Contribute to SAP S/4HANA implementation, upgrade and transformation programmes.
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience as an SAP ABAP Developer.
- Proven development experience specifically within SAP EWM / Extended Warehouse Management.
- Strong knowledge of ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP.
- Experience with EWM-specific development, including RF Framework, BAdIs, enhancements and user exits.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA EWM.
- Experience developing and supporting integrations.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working across the full SAP development lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with functional and technical stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
- SAP Fiori / UI5.
- CDS Views and OData services.
- BOPF.
- SAP Screen Personas.
- SAP BTP or ABAP Cloud.
- Warehouse automation or RF/mobile solutions.
- Experience working within an SAP consultancy environment.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a true SAP EWM technical specialist who can demonstrate genuine, hands-on ABAP development experience specifically within SAP EWM.
Candidates who have simply worked with EWM as part of a broader SAP role, or who are primarily functional or techno-functional consultants, are unlikely to be suitable.
