SAP Business Data Owner required by Whitehall Resources for a 4-6 Month extendable project assignment for our client in Europe.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 4-6 Months +
Location: Remote/Barcelona, Spain
Delivery: Barcelona (40-50%) & Remote (40-50%) – possible travel to other client sites within Europe (10-20%)
Capacity: 100% – Full Time
Language: Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
The client is currently seeking an interim solution while they continue their search for a permanent hire. There is potential for a permanent role in Barcelona for candidates who perform well and are interested. If a suitable permanent candidate is not identified after the initial 4-month period, the assignment may be extended by 3-4 months. Every onsite appearance has reimbursement of travel expenses of 200 CHF per day unless the consultant already lives close to the onsite location(s).
Role:
The BDO acts as a key driver of Data Management processes for the „live“ S4 and Informatica communities across all areas (Business Partner, Material , Finance). The role owns and steers end-to-end MDM business processes within the live S4 communities, ensuring that the core model is adopted, continuously improved and delivers business value. The BDO serves as the primary interface between Group IT and local subsidiaries, closely partnering with local process champions (PCs) and works collaboratively alongside the BPOs in the project track. The BDO is an integral element of the governance and new demand process, working alongside Group IT and local PCs. As the first point of contact via ServiceNow (alongside Group IT), the role provides day-to-day guidance, support and advice, while promoting process excellence and capability building across markets.
Key Responsibilities:
– Steers the continuous quality monitoring and improvement and coordinates new business requirements and recommends enhancements to the template.
– Continuous training of the business, sharing best practice across the PC „communities“ and provision of documentation and process. Communicate and train relevant template changes.
– Responsible for post hyper care defect resolution and local team support.
– Ensure standardization in template governance as new local requirements come up. Ensure approval/business case of new developments via governance track.
– Represent BPO thinking in governance processes.
– Involved in testing (regression and new processes) and training local subsidiaries for new processes. As well as communicating project changes for the work stream.
– IT & LICs general controls & compliance support.
– Collaborate with the BI team for new needs from the business.
Professional/technical experience:
– Min. 12 years of relevant experience
– Around 10 years experience in a team-leading role
– Extensive experience in master data aspects, in both an organizational and operating context
– Superb knowledge in SAP SD/FICO, complemented by experience with SAP implementations
Business & Technical Skills:
– Technical Master Data Management knowledge
– Functional SAP experience with business partner master
– Process experience is an advantage
– Knowledge of program governance tools and methodologies
– Travel requirements: This role will likely require a 10%-20% commute structure depending on project phases.
