Whitehall Resources is currently partnering with a major enterprise organisation undertaking a large-scale SAP S/4HANA CIS (Customer Information System) transformation programme. We are seeking an experienced Overall Cutover & Deployment Lead to take ownership of the end-to-end cutover strategy, deployment planning, readiness, and go-live execution for this highly visible programme.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for orchestrating all business, technology, data, infrastructure, security, and operational activities required to deliver a successful SAP S/4HANA CIS deployment with minimal business disruption.

The Role
As the Overall Cutover & Deployment Lead, you will act as the central point of coordination across client leadership, system integrators, implementation partners, vendors, and business stakeholders. You will drive the integrated cutover and deployment strategy, ensuring all programme workstreams are aligned and fully prepared for go-live and post-go-live stabilization activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the integrated cutover and deployment strategy across all programme workstreams.
- Develop, maintain, and govern the master cutover plan, covering business, application, data migration, infrastructure, security, and operational activities.
- Coordinate dependencies and execution across multiple system integrators, vendors, implementation partners, and client teams.
- Lead cutover rehearsals, mock conversions, deployment simulations, and readiness assessments.
- Facilitate and manage Go/No-Go decision processes with executive stakeholders.
- Direct command centre operations, deployment activities, and stabilization efforts during go-live.
- Proactively manage deployment risks, issues, contingencies, and rollback strategies.
- Provide executive-level reporting, escalation management, and stakeholder communications throughout the deployment lifecycle.
- Ensure business continuity, operational readiness, and successful transition to hypercare and steady-state support operations.
Required Experience
- 15+ years of experience leading complex enterprise transformation programmes.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale SAP S/4HANA cutovers, deployments, or enterprise go-live events.
- Extensive experience managing multiple system integrators, third-party vendors, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of enterprise deployment governance, cutover management, data migration coordination, and operational readiness.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate effectively at executive level.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with SAP IS-U / CIS transformations.
- Background within Utilities, Energy, or other mission-critical customer and billing transformation programmes.
- Exposure to large-scale customer information systems, meter-to-cash processes, billing, and operational transition programmes would be highly advantageous.
