We are now the proud headline sponsors of the Essex Rebels basketball teams and Rebels basketball programme.
Essex Rebels head coach, Tom Sadler: “I’m very excited about our new sponsors. Whitehall are as passionate as we are about people. Basketball is a people-driven industry and with their involvement and sponsorship we will be able to make sure that we deliver the very best experience and playing opportunities within the sport and within our newly established Rebels Basketball pathway.”
Whitehall Managing Director, Tremayne Hall: “We are very pleased to expand our partnership with the University. The Rebels have a great programme that reaches hundreds of children and young adults and it’s a privilege for Whitehall to be a part of that. The team have excellent facilities, strong leadership and vision, and squads of talented and passionate players.”
The Essex Rebels are based at the University of Essex in a brand new £12m facility, with a 2000m2 main arena and seating for 1600 spectators. As headline sponsors, we’ll be supporting the academy teams, men’s teams and the women’s WBBL professional team.
In preparation for the WBBL Cup and WBBL Championship season starting in October, the Essex Rebels will start with a Trophy opening weekend from 27th-29th September at the Essex Sports Arena, with 12 competing teams from the WBBL.
The Essex Rebels have recently announced their line up for the new season. This includes returning players Grace Sinnott, Jessy Ward and team captain Cath Lutz, as well as new signings Olivia Partridge, who previously played for the Sevenoaks Suns, and Ellie Shaxon who spent last year playing for German professional team, Krofdorf Knights.
We are looking forward to the games and supporting the teams. You can follow the teams on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
