SAP RAR & Group Reporting Consultant is required ASAP for a contract engagement with one our leading clients.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ‘hands on’ SAP Functional Consultant with deep expertise in SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) and Group Reporting / GtN to support finalising the client’s S/4HANA Global Template design and rollout for a large, complex pharmaceutical business. The consultant will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), owning the end‑to‑end functional design of RAR/GtN within the global template, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices and pharma industry standards, while serving as a trusted advisor to both business and IT stakeholders. This role requires examples of hands‑on delivery in similar global SAP S/4HANA programs.
Key Responsibilities
Global Template Design & Delivery
- Lead the completion of the functional design of SAP RAR and GtN as part of an S/4HANA Global Template initiative
- Define end‑to‑end RAR processes, including: Contract identification and performance obligations / Allocation, revenue recognition, postings, and disclosures / Integration with SD, FI, CO, and Group Reporting
- Design scalable, compliant solutions suitable for multi‑country pharma deployments.
- Drive template governance, ensuring consistent design and controlled local deviations.
Subject Matter Expertise
- Act as the RAR/GtN SME, providing authoritative guidance on SAP capabilities, configuration options, and best‑practice usage.
- Translate SAP best practices into practical solutions aligned with pharmaceutical industry requirements (e.g. complex revenue arrangements, rebates, chargebacks, GTN processes).
- Provide expert input into design decisions, impact assessments, and solution trade‑offs.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Clearly articulate complex RAR/GtN concepts to: Finance and business stakeholders / IT architects, developers, and integration teams
- Lead and contribute to: Global Template Design workshops / Fit‑to‑standard / fit‑gap sessions where required / Design reviews and QA discussions / Configuration and potential Customising of the S4 system
