SAP Project Manager – Finance Systems required by Whitehall Resources for 1 year extendable project assignment for our client based in Germany.
Start Date: Immediate/ASAP
Duration: 12 Months +
Delivery: Remote / Very occasional onsite days in Berlin
Language: English speaking
The Role
We’re looking for a pragmatic SAP Project Manager to run multiple small-to-medium SAP Finance projects in parallel. This is an operational role, focused on day-to-day delivery rather than strategic transformation. You won’t be doing the technical work yourself, but you must understand the functional and technical challenges so you can manage teams effectively and keep projects on track.
What You’ll Do
– Lead multiple SAP projects simultaneously, managing schedules, risks, and day-to-day issues.
– Understand functional processes, testing, and potential implementation challenges to guide and coordinate delivery teams.
– Collaborate closely with business and technical teams across FICO, FI-CA/BRIM, SD, Treasury, and related areas.
– Report progress and escalations to stakeholders and project sponsors.
– Follow the client’s project methodology and SAP best practices.
– Occasionally oversee more complex SAP or non-SAP projects (e.g., Anaplan, Analytics).
What We’re Looking For
– 5-6 years’ SAP project management experience, ideally with a functional SAP Finance background.
– Strong functional understanding across SAP FICO, FI-CA/BRIM, SD, or Treasury.
– Pragmatic, adaptable, and operationally focused – able to deliver projects without changing established processes.
– Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
– Able to manage multiple small-to-medium projects at once in a fast-paced, tech-savvy environment.
Start Date is Immediate/ASAP!
