Experience
10-12 years of overall experience with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI).
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced SAP BTP Integration / CPI Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise-grade integrations across SAP and non-SAP applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP Cloud Integration (CPI) and proven expertise integrating SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP Sales and Service Cloud, SAP CPQ, SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce, and custom applications built using Java and .NET frameworks.
The candidate should have strong knowledge of integration development, middleware patterns, error handling, monitoring, performance optimization, automated testing, and enterprise integration best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable, secure, and reusable integration solutions using SAP BTP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI).
- Develop and maintain end-to-endintegrations between:
- SAP ECC
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP Sales and Service Cloud
- SAP CPQ
- SAP Commerce Cloud
- Salesforce
- Java-based applications
- .NET-based applications
- Other third-party and custom enterprise applications
- Analyze integration requirements and translate functional specifications into technical integration solutions.
- Implement integration patterns including synchronous, asynchronous, request/reply, publish/subscribe, batch, and event-driven integrations.
- Developintegrations using protocols andadapters such as:
- REST
- HTTP/HTTPS
- OData
- IDoc
- SOAP
- SFTP/FTP
- JDBC/database connectivity
- Other relevant SAP BTP/CPI adapters
- Develop and maintain reusable integration components, templates, mappings, and common utilities.
- Create and maintain Groovy scripts for custom data transformation, message processing, validation, routing, exception handling, and other integration requirements.
- Configure and maintain Value Mappings and other reusable CPI artifacts.
- Implement complex message mappings, transformations, routing, filtering, enrichment, and content modification.
- Configure authentication and connectivity using appropriate security mechanisms, including OAuth, certificates, basic authentication, and API keys.
- Perform unit testing, defect resolution, deployment, and post-deployment validation for integration flows.
- Prepare technical documentation, interface specifications, mapping documents, test cases, and operational support documentation.
- Collaborate with functional teams, application teams, business stakeholders, and support teams throughout the integration lifecycle.
Integration Error Handling & Monitoring
- Develop and configure integration error-handling solutions in SAP CPI.
- Implement mechanisms such as:
- Retry processing
- Automatic retries with configurable policies
- Exception subprocesses
- Dead Letter Queue (DLQ) patterns
- Failed-message reprocessing
- Error categorization and routing
- Alerting and notification mechanisms
- Configure and maintain monitoring dashboards to provide visibility into:
- Successful and failed messages
- Integration volumes
- Processing times
- Error trends
- Retry counts
- DLQ messages
- Interface health and availability
- Monitor production integrations, investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Support incident resolution, problem management, and continuous improvement of integration solutions.
- Maintain appropriate logging and monitoring while ensuring sensitive data is handled securely
Testing & Performance
- Develop comprehensive integration test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, and exception scenarios.
- Execute unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and end-to-end integration testing.
- Prepare test data and validate message payloads, mappings, routing, transformations, and error scenarios.
- Perform integration performance and load testing.
- Analyze integration performance bottlenecks and optimize CPI iFlows, mappings, Groovy scripts, API calls, and backend interactions.
- Validate throughput, latency, scalability, and reliability of integration flows.
- Resolve defects identified during testing and production support.
- Support deployment activities across development, quality assurance, and production environments.
Technical Skills
Required:
- 10-12 years of experience in software or integration development.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI).
- Strong hands-on experience developing and supporting complex CPI iFlows.
- Strong understanding of SAP integration concepts and enterprise integration patterns.
- Strong experience integrating:

- Experience integrating applications developed using Java and .NET.

- Strong experience with message mappings and data transformations.
- Experience creating and managing CPI Value Mappings.
- Experience developing reusable integration components and common utilities.
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, certificates, basic authentication, and API keys.
- Experience implementing integration error handling, retry mechanisms, DLQ/reprocessing patterns, and monitoring.
- Experience configuring integration monitoring dashboards and operational support solutions.
- Experience developing and executing integration test cases.
- Experience with performance/load testing and performance optimization.
- Experience with version control, transport, and deployment processes for CPI artifacts.
Education
- Graduate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
