SAP FICO Consultant (Mexico S/4HANA Implementation Specialist) – contract

Whitehall Resources have partnered with a leading global SAP implementation partner to source an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with specific knowledge of Mexico localization and S/4HANA implementations for an initial 6-month contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and rolling out global SAP templates in Mexico, ensuring smooth financial operations and adherence to local statutory requirements. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, stakeholder management, and knowledge of intercompany transactions, local taxes, and CFDI integration.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead or participate in the deployment of SAP S/4HANA solutions specifically for Mexico, including full-cycle implementations and rollouts.
• Work with global teams to adapt and implement the global SAP template for Mexico, ensuring alignment with local regulations and business needs.
• Ensure SAP solutions are configured to meet Mexico-specific statutory and legal requirements, including tax regulations, e-invoicing (CFDI), and compliance reporting.
• Leverage FIORI applications to enhance user experience, enabling businesses to streamline financial processes.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Mexican financial stakeholders, providing regular project status updates to leadership and ensuring clear communication across teams.
• Provide expertise in managing intercompany transactions for goods and services, including configuring and troubleshooting in the SAP system.
• Ensure seamless integration with Mexico’s CFDI for invoice authorization and validation, adhering to local tax authority requirements.

To be considered for the position you will have:

• Proven track record in leading or supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations in Mexico.
• In-depth knowledge of Mexican localization requirements, including taxes (IVA, ISR), e-invoicing (CFDI), statutory and compliance reporting, and electronic accounting.
• Experience in rolling out global SAP templates to local markets, with a specific focus on Mexico.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP FICO, particularly in project accounting, asset accounting, intercompany transactions, and parallel ledgers.
• Experience in enabling businesses with SAP FIORI applications to enhance operational efficiency.
• Hands-on experience integrating SAP with Mexico’s CFDI for tax invoice authorization and compliance.
