Microsoft Purview Consultant

Whitehall Resources are looking for a Microsoft Purview Consultant. this will be remote working for an initial 6 month contract.

Job Description:

• Assess client data governance and compliance needs and develop tailored Microsoft Purview solutions to address them.
• Lead the implementation of Microsoft Purview solutions, including installation, configuration, and customization.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of Purview with existing systems and processes.
• Provide expert guidance on data classification, metadata management, data lineage, and data discovery best practices.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for client teams to educate them on Microsoft Purview capabilities and best practices.
• Assist clients in defining and implementing data governance policies, standards, and procedures using Purview.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution or escalation as needed.
• Stay current on Microsoft Purview updates, features, and industry trends to continuously improve service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Document solution designs, configurations, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing and client reference.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Purview or similar data governance and metadata management platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL Database).
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, metadata management concepts, and data lineage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Proven ability to lead and manage implementation projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or similar are a plus.
