SAP FI Consultant – Digital Payments – Contract

Whitehall Resources have been engaged by a global SAP consultancy to source an SAP FI Consultant to work on a digital payments project for a leading client.

This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth implementation of digital payment systems that align with the business requirements and compliance standards.

You will be required to:

• Configure and customize SAP FI and SD modules to support digital payment processes, ensuring seamless integration between financial transactions, invoicing, and payment collection.

• Design and implement integrations between SAP and third-party digital payment platforms (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, credit card gateways). Ensure secure and compliant payment processing.
• Analyze existing financial and sales processes and identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual efforts, and enhance the end-to-end payment experience.
• Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including blueprinting, design, testing, user training, and go-live support for SAP digital payments solutions.
• Work closely with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and FICO (Financial Accounting & Controlling) to ensure cohesive system operations.

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FI and SD modules, with a strong focus on financial transactions and order-to-cash processes.
• Experience with digital payments integration (payment gateways, e-commerce platforms, mobile payments).
• Proven track record in delivering SAP projects with a focus on payment processing and financial accounting.
• In-depth understanding of SAP FI (Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Asset Accounting) and SD (Sales Order Processing, Billing, Pricing) modules, including their integration points.
• Experience with IDoc, EDI, or API-based integration of SAP systems with external payment platforms.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAP S/4HANA is a plus
